JEFF IN GALENA JUNE 6, 2006

Today I went to Lost Gulch on the bike. It's mainly scary going up because you don't know whether somebody else might be coming down and you'll have to somehow get out of the way. I didn't run into anybody, though. At the top I took pics of the new house.

You can also see the 2 roads the neighbor guy made up the hill.

At Lost Gulch I drove up the road that goes west from the log cabin. The road got so bad I just parked my bike and walked up the rest of the way. The road interects another road. I found out that the road it hits when you go left is the end of the Anchor Hill road (the good road, not the one that goes down into Anchor Gulch). Going right, that road just ends at the top of a hill. A very bad road, also. I didn't know which roads these were until later when I went on Anchor Hill road.

I then drove to Boulder Canyon Road and drove into Deadwood, thinking I'd go up the road behind the rodeo grounds. But that road had a gate and a no trespassing sign, so I just had lunch and then went through Brownsville and back up to Anchor Hill road. That's when I followed the intersecting roads from Lost Gulch. That took a while because they were lousy roads.

I stopped at Gilt Edge and took a few photos. It's a superfund toxic cleanup site.

I put up a bird feeder on the telephone pole by Gammy's for Juha.
