JEFF'S EXCELLENT GALENA ADVENTURE, JUNE 30, 2006
This morning I went toward Sturgis and checked out the roads that go north past "5H." The next three roads going north all wind up in this valley where ATVers have made a playground of little roads and jumps. The 3rd road went to the badly rutted road that goes to Sturgis. So I just came back on that road, which eventually goes to Lost Gulch road. I got a cool Japanese Mt. Fuji looking photo of Bear Butte.
I went into Deadwood to get drinking water and such. I plan to go in on the 1st and see how busy it is for the July 4 weekend.
I have poison ivy a little, mostly in back of one leg. This didn't show up until I was in Denver, which made me wonder if they had bedbugs at the Sheraton! But I recognize it as poison ivy, and I remember telling Juha I think I just went through some the other day.
Tonight was the monthly family dinner, at Marilyn's. It was a good dinner and a good time. I think we finally left about 11:30pm. I took some photos.
It rained 7/10" after the party.
